Welcome to Classic Photo ImagesTraditional black and white photo materials produce images with a classic "look." But these materials also are known to last--easily more than a century.Computer printouts are getting better, to the point where it's difficult to know whether you're looking at a silver image or sprayed ink. We believe time will tell, but it hasn't had a chance to speak yet. Which is why we produce prints exclusively in silver-gelatin processed for archival durability. The technical goal is a print rich in detail, with full tonality and little if any visible grain. That's why we work with medium and large negative sizes, not 35 mm or digital. Pleasing overall composition complements detailed content, producing a print that appeals to the viewer from across the room and also rewards closer examination. Ample negative size allows large prints suited to display in home or office. Standard sizes range from 5x7 inches up to 20x24 inches, mounted with mats and frames that typically are a few inches larger. Bigger prints are available to order.
